At Geeked Week, Netflix and the Duffer brothers revealed the names of four new cast members for Stranger Things. The streaming giant also announced the release of a book and a podcast both focused on the character of Robin (Maya Hawke).
New names for season 4
The cast of Stranger Things Season 4 continues to grow. After announcing eight new names in November 2020, the production revealed that four additional actors and actresses will join the cast of the next season.
Expected to join the cast are: Amybeth McNulty (Anne with an E), Myles Truitt (Black Lightning) , Regina Ting Chen (Dreamsville) and Grace Van Dien (Greenhouse Academy).
Amybeth McNulty will play Vickie, a cool, fast-talking nerd who catches the eye of one of our heroes. Myles Truitt will play Patrick, a basketball star who has friends, talent and a good life… until shocking events disrupt it all. Regina Ting Chen will play Mrs. Kelly, a popular guidance counselor who cares deeply about her students, especially those who are struggling the most. Finally, Grace Van Dien will play Chrissy, the most popular girl in school who hides a dark secret.
“Rebel Robin” in your bookstore and on your music streaming platforms
At the end of June, the character of Robin, played in Stranger Things by Maya Hawke, will have her official novel “Rebel Robin” but also her podcast “Rebel Robin: Surviving Hawkins”.
The story will take place in October 1983 when a monster is on the loose in Hawkins, Indiana, devouring people and spitting them out. And Robin Buckley knows exactly what that monster’s name is: Hawkins High School.
The English version of the novel will be available on June 29, 2021. The six-episode podcast will be launched on June 29 on streaming platforms. Maya Hawke will continue her role as Robin and will be joined by Sean Maher (Firefly).
