Casting News: Genevieve Padalecki joins the Walker series, Creepshow season 2 is full of new names, ...

The Kominsky Method – Netflix
Alan Arkin will not be back for the third and final season in The Kominsky Method series. According to Deadline’s information, this decision is long overdue and is said to be the result of Alan Arkin‘s wish not to continue beyond season 2. The departure of his character will be discussed in season 3. (Source)

Lisa Edelstein (House M.D.) will make her return for the last season in The Kominsky Method and will resume her role as Norman’s daughter Phoebe. (Source)

Rebel – ABC
The Rebel series, inspired by the life of Erin Brockovitch, welcomes two additional actors: Kevin Zegers (Fear the Walking Dead) and Sam Palladio (Nashville). The first named will play Rebel’s eldest son while the second will play a lawyer working in the law firm of Rebel’s ex-husband. (Source)

Walker – The CW
Genevieve Padalecki and Jared Padalecki will also be united in life on screen for the Walker series. The actress, best known for her role as Kris in Wildfire, will play Cordell Walker’s late wife Emily and will appear in flashbacks. (Source)

B Positive – CBS
Terrence Terrell (Bigger) will be casting Chuck Lorre‘s new comedy. He joins Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), Annaleigh Ashford (Masters of Sex), Maggie Elizabeth Jones (Ben and Kate), Kether Donohue (You’re the Worst) and Sara Rue (American Housewife). He will play a soccer player waiting for a kidney transplant who befriends Drew (Thomas Middleditch), a recently divorced therapist who has to find a kidney donor. (Source)

Minx – HBO Max
Ophelia Lovibond (Elementary) will be one of the featured stars in Minx, a comedy written by Ellen Rapoport (Three Moon Over Milford) for HBO Max. The series will follow Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond), a young feminist who dreams of launching a magazine by, for and about women. To do so, she teams up with a publisher to create the first erotic magazine for women. (Source)

Millennials – UMC
The comedy Millennials, which will focus on four roommates and their neighbor across the street who are trying to succeed in Los Angeles while in their twenties, has unveiled the cast. The cast includes Kyle Massey (That’s So Raven), Keraun Harris (30 Days 2 Life), Philip Bolden (The Dead Girls Detective Agency), Aaron Grady (The Big House) and Teresa Celeste (Family Time). Kung Fu – The CW
The Kung-Fu reboot adds an additional name to the distribution: Vanessa Kai. The actress, who came to New Amsterdam, will play Pei-Ling Zhang, Nicky Shen’s mentor. Following her murder by a mysterious assassin, Nicky Shen will do everything to avenge her but will also discover dark secrets about the woman who taught him everything. (Source)

Creepshow – Shudder
The horror anthology Creepshow is filling up with new names for its second season. Greg Nicotero’s series based on George A. Romero’s iconic eponymous film. The cast of the second season includes Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect), Adam Pally (Happy Endings), Josh McDermitt (The Walking Dead), Keith David (Greenleaf) and Ashley Laurence (Hellraiser). Anna Camp and Adam Pally will play in the two-part “Shapeshifters Anonymous” segment based on J.A. Konrath‘s short story where we will follow a support group of werewolves. Josh McDermitt, Keith David and Ashley Laurence will play in the “Pesticide” and “Model Kid” segments. (Source)

NCIS: Los Angeles – CBS
Caleb Custille, featured in 3 episodes of NCIS: Los Angeles, has been promoted to regular for the upcoming season. His character of Devin Rountree will be offered a position on the team led by G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) and will have to determine if this is the right decision for his career and also for his sister whom he has been raising since elementary school. Julia – HBO Max
Tom Hollander (Baptiste), originally chosen to play one of the title roles in the Julia series, is replaced by David Hyde Pierce (Frasier). This decision follows changes in the shooting schedule and travel restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The series will be based on the life of Julia Child and her show The French Chef. Maid – Netflix
Shortly after unveiling the names of the two featured stars in the Maid series (Margaret Qualley and Nick Robinson), Netflix announced a new name to the cast: Anika Noni Rose (The Quad). She will play an extremely talented and bright family lawyer. (Source)

Chicago Fire – NBC
Adriyan Rae (Vagrant Queen) joins Chicago Fire in a regular role for the upcoming ninth season. She will play Gianna Mackey, “an adorable troublemaker with a sparkle in her eyes” who treats everyone like family. (Source)

American Housewife – ABC
Giselle Eisenberg will replace Julia Butters as Anna-Kat in the American Housewife series. This change follows the departure of Julia Butters who wanted to turn to other projects after her success in the film Once Upon A Time Hollywood by Quentin Tarantino. (Source)
