Squid Game: new names in the cast for season 2

A few weeks after revealing the first names of Squid Game Season 2, Netflix has completed the cast of its hit series. And at the same time, it has reassured fans by confirming that actresses will indeed be appearing in the lead roles.

Who will star in Squid Game season 2?

As announced by Netflix at the TUDUM event, four of the actors from the first season will return for the next installment of the series created by Hwang Dong-hyuk. As expected, Lee Jung-Jae will reprise his role as Seong Gi-Hun and will be joined by Lee Byung-Hun (the front man), Wi Ha-Jun (Hwang Jun-Ho) and Gong Yoo (the recruiter).

Four male actors were also confirmed for Squid Game Season 2 at the TUDUM event. Yim Si-Wan (Strangers from Hell, Standby), Kang Ha-Neul (Insider, When the Camellia Blooms), Park Sung-Hoon (The Glory, Into the Ring), and Yang Dong-Geun (Borg Mom, The Three Musketeers) will join the new salvo of episodes in the Korean series.

This Thursday, June 29, Netflix announced the names of eight additional actors and actresses who will join the cast of the award-winning series. The platform’s subscribers will be pleased to welcome two familiar faces to the cast of Squid Game Season 2: Park Gyu-Young and Lee Jin-Uk, who appeared in Sweet Home. K-pop fans won’t be left out either, as they will be joined by two familiar faces: Jo Yu-ri, former member of Iz*One, and Choi Seung-hyun (T.O.P.), former member of BIGBANG.

The other four stars joining the cast of Squid Game are Kang Ae-sim (Be Melodramatic, No, Thank You), Lee David (Positive Physique, Law School), Roh Jae-won (Once Upon A Small Town, Ditto) and Won Ji-an (Hope or Dope, If You Wish Upon Me).
