Fans of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, or just Interview with the Vampire, are in for a treat: AMC has just released the trailer for Season 2, which will air on the U.S. network beginning May 12, 2024.

In a press release, AMC revealed more about Season 2, which will pick up after the events that unfolded at the end of Season 1: “Picking up from the bloody events in New Orleans in 1940 when Louis and teen fledgling Claudia conspired to kill the Vampire Lestat de Lioncourt, Louis tells of his adventures in Europe, a quest to discover Old World Vampires and the Theatre Des Vampires in Paris, with Claudia.”

The network adds, “It is in Paris that Louis first meets the Vampire Armand. Their courtship and love affair will prove to have devastating consequences both in the past and in the future, and Molloy will probe to get to the truths buried within the memories.” A tantalizing program, a first glimpse of which can be seen in the trailer below.

The series, created by Rolin Jones and based on Anne Rice‘s novel of the same name, stars Jacob Anderson (Louis de Point du Lac), Sam Reid (Lestat de Lioncourt), Eric Bogosian (Daniel Molloy), Assad Zaman (Rashid/Armand), Delainey Hayles (Claudia) and Ben Daniels (Santiago).
