New faces will cross the path of Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) in Season 2 of Wednesday. As announced by Variety, the hit Netflix series will count on the presence of Steve Buscemi (Miracle Workers, Boardwalk Empire) and Thandiwe Newton (Westworld, Solo: A Star Wars Story) for this new salvo of episodes.
While details about their characters are scarce, American media are reporting that Steve Buscemi may play the new headmaster of Nevermore Academy, the school Wednesday attends.
In the first season, Wednesday, the daughter of Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán), joins Nevermore Academy, an American institution that welcomes all kinds of creatures, including werewolves, vampires, gorgons and mermaids. While trying to adjust to her new life, Wednesday, with the help of her friends, investigates a series of murders that are terrorizing the neighboring town of Jericho.
The eight-episode first season of Wednesday generated more than 750 million hours of viewership in its first two weeks. Season 2 of the show, created by Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, is highly anticipated by fans of the series. A release date has not yet been announced.
