Good news for Resident Alien fans: SYFY has officially ordered a second season of the eponymous comic book adaptation.
This decision won’t come as a huge surprise to those who have been following Resident Alien‘s ratings since its launch. The series has the highest ratings for a new show on the network in over 6 years. Moreover, its first episode attracted 9.3 million viewers, all platforms combined, and the first season, which has just ended in the United States, is the most watched new series on cable. All these positive signs left little doubt about the renewal of the series as SYFY prepares to say goodbye to Wynonna Earp and Van Helsing.
For those unfamiliar with Resident Alien, we follow the adventures of Harry, an alien who crash on Earth and attempts to become accustomed to human practices in a small Colorado town by pretending to be a doctor.
The cast includes Alan Tudyk (Doom Patrol, Firefly), Sara Tomko (Once Upon A Time), Meredith Garretson (Prodigal Son), Corey Reynolds (The Closer, All American), Alice Wetterlund (Silicon Valley, People of Earth), Elizabeth Bowen (Upload, No Tomorrow) and Levi Fiehler (Mars, Fetching).
