Omar Sy becomes Arsène Lupin

Gentleman burglar Arsène Lupin will take up residence on Netflix on January 8, as a series. Behind this emblematic character created by Maurice Leblanc, is the french actor Omar Sy.

“Arsène Lupin”, everyone has already heard about him. A character created by Maurice Leblanc and available at Hachette Romans and Le Livre de Poche Jeunesse, he will be given a contemporary rereading on Netflix on January 8th, under the title of “Lupin”. Assan Diop, who will be played by Omar Sy, is inspired by the stories of the famous gentleman burglar for an original TV series. The first season will be divided into two parts of five episodes.

A re-release planned

Netflix has already broadcast several teasers, where we can see, in addition to Omar Sy, Nicole Garcia or Ludivine Sagnier. To mark the release of the series, the partner publishing houses will be releasing a new edition on January 13, under the title “Gentleman cambrioleur”.
