Critics Choice Super Awards: Evil, Midnight Mass, Shang-Chi and Spider-Man leads the 2022 nominations

For the second year, the Critics Choice Association will present its Super Awards, awards that honor stars and productions from genres that are popular with fans. Action, superheroes, horror and science fiction will be honored in this second edition, and the winners will be revealed on March 17, 2022.

While waiting to know the winners of the Critics Choice Super Awards, we can already take a look at the nominations. In this little game, the series Evil and Midnight Mass are the best with 6 nominations each. Unfortunately, the two series will not be able to win all the awards since they will compete in the categories of Best Horror Series, Best Actor in a Horror Series, Best Actress in a Horror Series and Best Villain in a Series. Squid Game, the South Korean phenomenon of Netflix, is also well represented with 4 nominations: best action series, best actor in an action series and best actress in an action series.

On the movie side, Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings and Spider-Man: No Way Home are leading the nominations with 5 mentions each. The two Marvel productions will compete in the categories of Best Superhero Movie, Best Actor in a Superhero Movie, Best Actress in a Superhero Movie and Best Villain in a Movie. If Marvel films are strong in the superhero categories, DC Comics manages to place two of its films in the nominations: The Suicide Squad (4) and Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2).
