A month after its renewal, the Goosebumps series has already cast one of the characters that will be at the center of Season 2. According to a number of American media reports, the production has set its sights on David Schwimmer, the unforgettable Ross from Friends, to play one of the main roles in the new salvo of episodes.
The second season of Goosebumps will follow a brother and sister who discover a threat hovering over them, triggering a series of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, the duo find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994. In these new episodes, David Schwimmer will play Anthony, “a former botany professor and divorced parent of teenage twins whose world takes a tumultuous turn as he juggles the responsibilities of overseeing an aging parent while having his kids for the summer”.
Disney+’s anthology series Goosebumps, adapted from the novels of the same name by R.L. Stine, quickly won over subscribers to the streaming platform. The 10-episode first season follows five high school students as they embark on a whirlwind investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of a teenager thirty years earlier, uncovering their parents’ dark secrets in the process. The cast included Zack Morris, Isa Briones, Miles McKenna, Anna Yi Puig, Will Price, Rachael Harris and Justin Long.
