At the D23 event, Kevin Feige, the boss of Marvel Studios, confirmed that Kit Harington and Barry Keoghan were joining the MCU. Gemma Chan, who is already present in Captain Marvel, she will be as well in the casting of The Eternals.

Kit Harington, known for his role as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, will embody Dane Whitman known as Black Knight, a hero who holds his powers from his ancestors. He is linked to the Eternals, Immortal beings who are sent to Earth by the Celestials to protect humanity from the Deviants, via his relationship with Sersi. From his part, Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk, Chernobyl) will lend his features to Druig, an Eternal who has the ability to read memories but also to mesmerize people with a simple look.

These three actors will be accompanied by Richard Madden (Game of Thrones, Bodyguard), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley, Portlandia), Lauren Ridloff (The Walking Dead), Brian Tyree Henry, Lia McHugh (American Woman), Don Lee, Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie (Maleficient, Lara Croft). The Eternals is waited in movie theaters in November 2020.
