A few weeks after revealing the names of the actors who will make up the main cast, Marvel is adding another name to the cast of its Fantastic Four feature film.
According to Deadline, Julia Garner (Ozark, The Americans) has been cast as Shalla-Bal, a character known as the immortal Empress of Zenn-La and the first love of Norrin Radd, the original Silver Surfer. For the purposes of Matt Shakman‘s film, it is Shalla-Bal who will be stepping into the shoes of the Silver Surfer, as she did in an issue of the Earth X comic book series.
Fantastic Four stars Julia Garner alongside Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm / Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm / Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm / Thing). The film, which will begin production this summer, is scheduled for a July 2025 release.
