While Jared Padalecki will remain on the CW for the reboot of Walker Texas Ranger, Jensen Ackles will join the Amazon Prime Video team. He has been chosen to play Soldier Boy in the The Boys series. After fighting in World War II, Soldier Boy became the first famous superhero and has become a cornerstone of American culture. Eric Kripke, creator of Supernatural and The Boys, said, “I can’t wait to be on set with him again, and bring a bit of ‘Supernatural’ to ‘The Boys’.” (Source)

Only Murders in the Building – Hulu
The singer, actress and producer Selena Gomez will be appearing in the sitcom Only Murders in the Building produced by the Hulu channel. She will be supporting Steve Martin (The Pink Panther) and Martin Short (Damages) in this comedy that will follow three strangers who are obsessed with crime stories and find themselves wrapped up in one. Girls5eva has confirmed one of its lead actors: Sara Bareilles. The singer will play Dawn, a former star of the 90s who now runs the family restaurant in Queens and reluctantly reunites her former girls band “Girls5eva” when a rapper uses one of their titles. (Source)
Dead Ringers – Amazon Prime Video
Rachel Weisz (Definitely, Maybe) will produce and star in the Dead Ringers series, a reinvention of David Cronenberg‘s cult 80’s movie. The series will focus on the Mantle twins (Rachel Weisz), the most successful, brilliant and extraordinary people you’ve ever met. Identical from head to toe, these two obstetrical gynecologists are on a mission to change the way women give birth. Drugs, groundbreaking but illegal medical research, and sex will be part of this drama. (Source)

Commissioned by Peacock, the MacGruber series welcomes two new members to its cast: Ryan Phillippe and Kristen Wiig. They were already in the credits of the 2010 movie and are expected to return to their roles as Piper (Ryan Phillippe) and Vicki (Kristen Wiig). (Source)
