The Heartstopper series, adapted from Alice Oseman‘s graphic novel of the same name, will soon be debuting on Netflix.

Through a first trailer unveiled this Wednesday, March 16, the streaming giant announced that its new teen drama will be available exclusively from April 22, 2022.

Made of 8 episodes, the Heartstopper series will follow Charlie (Joe Locke), a kind-hearted young man, and Nick (Kit Connor), a rugby fan as their unlikely friendship gradually turns into an unexpected love story. The duo will be joined on a daily basis by Tao (William Gao), Elle (Yasmin Fenney), Tara (Corinna Brown) and Darcy (Kizzy Edgell).

Will the Heartstopper series be as successful as its original material, which was a phenomenon on webtoon and in bookstores? Empire Conventions thinks so and has already teased a convention in France for fall 2022.
