On May 20th, the Hunger Games prequel “The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes” will be released in bookstores. The book, written by Suzanne Collins, has already been spotted by Hollywood, and more particularly by Lionsgate studios who want to adapt it on the big screen.

Remember, it was already in 2008, when Suzanne Collins was already a hit in bookstores with the first part of the Hunger Games saga. The dystopia told the adventures of Katniss Everdeen in District 12. In order to save her sister, she participates in the “Hunger Games”, a reality TV game in which the goal is to survive at all costs.

Special focus on Coriolanus Snow

After three volumes and four movie adaptations, the saga with millions of readers is back in the spotlight, with the release of the prequel in bookstores on May 20th. The novel, entitled “The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes”, will focus on the house Snow and more specifically on Coriolanus who, on his 18th birthday, is preparing to become a games mentor for the first time.

Although the book is not yet on the shelves, it is already a well-known fact that the rights have been purchased by Lionsgate Studios, which is planning to adapt it for the cinema. Behind the camera, viewers will find Francis Lawrence, who was already at the helm of three of the four opuses. Even if the filming dates have not yet been announced, there is no doubt that fans will once again rush to the theatres to enjoy this new adventure.
