You thought the Hunger Games saga was over? No way! The prequel, “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” published by Suzanne Collins in 2020, will be adapted to the big screen. It is expected to be released in November 2023.

“May the odds be ever in your favour.” Does this quote ring a bell? Of course, because it comes from the successful saga “Hunger Games”. A saga that the public first discovered in bookstores in 2009, then in cinemas. The story, written by Suzanne Collins has also revealed the actress Jennifer Lawrence.

The youth of Snow

But since 2015, “Hunger Games” is over, well mainly in cinemas. The cinematic tetralogy ended with the second part of “Mockingjay”. However, Suzanne Collins had not said her last word. In 2020, she surprised everybody by releasing the prequel “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes”. The novel tells the story of the youth of Snow, the dictator of Panem. If the sales of this new opus were rather mixed, Lionsgate studios did not hesitate one second to throw on it their devotion for an adaptation. The adaptation should be released in theaters in November 2023, and will be directed by Francis Lawrence, who already directed the four previous films.
