The Spiderwick Chronicles came very close to never being broadcast. After Disney+ dropped the project, Roku Channel picked it up. Adapted from the book series by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black, the story will be available for streaming on April 19. And to keep the curious waiting, a first trailer has been released.
An eight-episode series
The fantasy adventure will have a total of eight episodes. Viewers will follow the Grace family as they move into an ancestral home that has been completely abandoned. But the discovery of a parallel world, both magical and disturbing, will make the new beginning a little more complicated than expected. Christian Slater, Joy Bryant and Noah Cottrell will be the ambassadors on the small screen.
