Tom Ellis is reuniting with his wife Meaghan Oppenheimer for another Hulu project. While the couple already collaborate on the series Second Wife, Deadline reports that the British actor has been cast as one of the characters in the second season of Tell Me Lies.
Created by Meaghan Oppenheimer, the series follows the tumultuous and intoxicating relationship between Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) over the course of eight years, and the impact it has on their lives and those around them.
In Season 2 of Tell Me Lies, Tom Ellis will play Oliver, a professor at Baird College who is married to Marianne (Gabriella Pession) and whose uncompromising behavior makes him an intimidating figure who is not appreciated by all of the students. When one of the main characters begins to seek his approval, his influence has disastrous consequences.
In addition to Second Wife and Tell Me Lies, Tom Ellis will be appearing in a number of other projects in the coming months. He will star in the miniseries Washington Black, also in development for Hulu, as well as the romantic comedy Players and the animated series Exploding Kittens, both coming to Netflix.
