The Bellas are back, or almost back. Peacock, the streaming service of NBCUniversal Television, has announced the development of a spin-off of the Pitch Perfect saga focused on the character of Bumper played by Adam Devine.

The series, produced by Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman, will take place several years after the films and will follow Bumper as he travels to Germany to restart his career when one of his songs becomes popular in Berlin.

Erin Underhill, president of Universal Television, says of the new project: “We’re so happy to have the opportunity to bring the beloved Universal Pictures franchise ‘Pitch Perfect’ to the small screen and to explore the hilarious and distinct characters in this (musical-filled) world. We’re lucky to partner with the talented Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman and Paul Brooks, who produced the iconic films; the exceptionally funny and memorable Adam Devine; and Megan Amram, whose clever adaptation of ‘Pitch Perfect’ is sure to have audiences laughing out loud and tapping their feet.”

At the moment, we don’t know if any of the Bellas or former members of the Treblemakers will be in the show. No air date has been announced either.
