The Gen V series may not have gotten its panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2023 due to the actors’ strike, but that didn’t stop Prime Video from promoting its new project.

The streaming platform took advantage of the start of the must-see pop culture event to reveal that the spinoff of its hit series The Boys will begin airing on September 29, 2023. Three episodes will be available that day, and Prime Video will then air a previously unseen episode each week through November 3, 2023.

The Gen V series will follow the training of the first generation of superheroes as they learn that their powers were given to them by the V-Compound, not God. At their ultra-competitive university, these superheroes will learn that ambition comes with sacrifice, and that the difference between good and evil isn’t as clear-cut as they thought. And as the dark secrets of their university come to light, the students must decide what kind of heroes they will become.

The cast includes Jaz Sinclair (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Lizze Broadway (Here and Now), Chance Perdomo (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Shelley Conn (Liar), Maddie Phillips (Teenage Bounty Hunters), London Thor (Shameless), Derek Luh (Shining Vale), Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger (The Staircase), Sean Patrick Thomas (Washington Police) and Marco Pigossi (Caras & Bocas). The Gen V series will also welcome guest stars from the cast of The Boys, including Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie and P.J. Byrne.
