Starz announces the broadcast date for The Rook

The cinematic adaptation of Daniel O’Malley’s novel The Rook finally has a broadcast date on Starz. The series developed by Sam Holcroft and Al Muriel will be broadcasted from June 30th, 2019 on the American channel. A good news for all fans of the universe set up by the Australian author.

The first season will follow Myfanwy Thomas (Emma Greenwell), a young woman who wakes up in the rain near the Millennium Bridge in London without remembering who she is and without any way to explain why she is surrounded by corpses with latex gloves. Myfanwy will quickly discover that she is a senior supervistor at Checquy, a secret agency in Britain for people with paranormal abilities. Her daily life will be rhythmed by plots, betrayals and creatures with special abilities. The whole trying to understand why we blame her and why her memory was erased.

The casting of the first season will also include Joely Richardson (Nip / Tuck), Olivia Munn (The Predator), Adrian Lester (The VIP scammers), Catherine Steadman (Downton Abbey), Jon Fletcher (Genius), Ronan Raftery (Moone Boy) or Barry Atsma (The Split).
