Superheroes, distant galaxies, Napoleonic wars, or magical chocolates: the trailers unveiled over the past few days offer you a wide variety. Let’s have a look.

Wonka

Before Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, there was Willy… That’s how Warner Bros. teases the movie Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet as the famous chocolate maker.

Expected to hit theaters on December 13, 2023, the musical comedy by Paul King and David Heyman looks back at Willy Wonka’s youth before he became internationally famous for his chocolate factory.

In addition to Timothée Chalamet, the Wonka cast includes Calah Lane, Keegan-Michael Key, Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter and Olivia Colman.

Ahsoka

The long-awaited Ahsoka series will finally arrive on Disney+ on August 23rd. To keep fans of Star Wars and the character waiting (a little longer), Disney+ has just released the official trailer for the series, written by Dave Filoni. On the agenda: lightsaber battles, thrawn and many voyages across the galaxy.

The Ahsoka cast includes Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Wes Chatham, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, David Tennant, Lars Mikkelsen and Temuera Morrison.

Blue Beetle

A few months after the release of the first trailer, Warner Bros. and DC are back with a new promotional video for Blue Beetle. With a running time of 3 minutes, this new trailer shows a lot (too much?) to attract audiences to theaters after the flop of The Flash (losses are estimated at $200 million).

In Blue Beetle, ambitious young Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña) becomes host to the Scarab, an ancient relic of alien biotechnology. But he’s not the only one who covets the technology, and he’ll have to face many enemies while being supported by those closest to him.

The Blue Beetle cast will include Susan Sarandon, Bruna Marquezine, George Lopez, Harvey Guillén, Elpidia Carrillo, Damián Alcázar and Adriana Barraza.

Napoleon

After working together on Gladiator, Ridley Scott and Joaquin Phoenix reunite for Napoleon, a biopic about the famous French emperor.

The trailer, released a few days ago, promises epic battles throughout the 2 hours and 38 minutes of the movie, written by David Scarpa. It will be released on November 22, 2023.

The cast of Napoleon includes Joaquin Phoenix, Vanessa Kirby, Ludivine Sagnier, Tahar Rimes, Ben Miles, Catherine Walker, Paul Rhys and Jonathan Barnwell.
