While in Los Angeles the 27th edition of the Critics Choice Awards took place, in London, the stars of the big screen met for the prestigious BAFTA ceremony.

This 75th edition was the occasion to see The Power of the Dog, the feature film by Jane Campion, win the award for best film and best director. This should be a good omen for the 2022 Oscars race. Belfast, which was also in the running for Best Picture and will face The Power of the Dog at the Oscars, won Best British Film.

Will Smith (King Richard), Ariana DeBose (West Side Story) and Troy Kotsur (CODA), who are also in the running for an Oscar, are again awarded in their respective categories, as it is the case in almost every award ceremony this season.

The film Dune, which led the nominations, won five technical awards and was therefore the big winner of the night, as no other film won more than two awards.
