Chicago Med has had to deal with several departures in recent months, so fans of the NBC medical series will have the opportunity to discover a new face in Season 9.
According to Deadline, TV regular Luke Mitchell has been cast as Dr. Mitch Ripley, an ER doctor who has a troubled past with Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt). U.S. media reports that the character’s name is subject to change and that he is scheduled to make his first appearance in the season premiere of Chicago Med Season 9, airing January 17, 2024 on NBC.
Luke Mitchell, previously seen in Blindspot, Summer Bay, The Republic of Sarah and Big Sky, will appear as a recurring character in Season 9 of Chicago Med. Due to the Hollywood strike, the next season of the show will only consist of 13 episodes.
