In May 2023, Netflix announced the renewal of Ginny & Georgia for seasons 3 and 4. This Monday, the streaming giant delighted fans by releasing the first images from the upcoming season’s table read (group script reading). The shoot, which is currently underway, has also been confirmed by the cast, including Brianne Howey (Georgia), who posted the photos on her Instagram account.
But what does this new season have in store for us? All we know is that Ginny and Georgia‘s future promises to be full of twists and turns. In January 2023, producer Sara Lampert told TVGuide: “So many shows just kind of repeat the same formula across the seasons. For us, our favorite thing to do is really surprise everyone. I think even in how Season 2 is so different from Season 1. If we get to Season 3, that’ll be different from both Season 1 and Season 2. My favorite thing is just when the unexpected happens and when the audience is really taken on this roller coaster ride where they care about the characters, but they are entertained and they are surprised.”
What is certain is that we’ll be seeing Antonia Gentry (Ginny), Brianne Howey (Georgia), Diesel La Torraca (Austin), Felix Mallard (Marcus), Sara Waisglass (Maxine), Katie Douglas (Abby), Raymond Ablack (Joe), Scott Porter (Paul), Nathan Mitchell (Zion), Jennifer Robertson (Ellen), Sabrina Grdevich (Cynthia) and Nikki Roumel (young Georgia).
Due to the Hollywood strike by actors and writers, the start of filming has been postponed, and we’ll have to wait until at least 2025 to see the new episodes of Season 3, which has just begun filming. To the great relief of the fans, in a few months, Netflix should soon reveal more information about the plot, which promises to be highly unpredictable!
