Tony Curran joins Outlander: Blood of My Blood

A new name has been added to the cast of Outlander: Blood Of My Blood, currently in development for the Starz network. According to Deadline, Tony Curran has been cast as Lord Lovat, Jamie Fraser’s grandfather. The actor is a familiar face on the small screen, having appeared in Your Honor, Defiance, Ray Donovan and Secret Invasion, among others.

Tony Curran will be a series regular on Outlander: Blood Of My Blood alongside Jamie Roy (Squeaky Clean Mysteries: Hazardous Duty) and Harriet Slater (Pennyworth), who will play Jamie’s parents Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie.

Developed by Matthew B. Roberts, the Outlander prequel will explore the lives of Jamie’s parents in the early 18th century Scottish Highlands and Claire’s parents in World War I England. In addition to the aforementioned names, the cast will also include Hermione Corfield (We Hunt Together) and Jeremy Irvine (Treadstone).
