Will Malcolm and his family be back soon ? This question comes back regularly since the end of the series in 2006. It is again the case following an interview of Frankie Muniz with Fox News. Let’s take a look.

For seven seasons, Malcolm and his family have been a hit on FOX and the series is often considered one of the best sitcoms on the small screen. It is therefore not surprising that fans regularly wonder if the series will be back. Especially since the cast regularly keeps the hope alive.

In 2015, Frankie Muniz and Bryan Cranston had shown interest in such a project. The actor who played Malcolm wondered in particular what could become his character while Bryan Cranston, who plays Hal, admitted that it would be interesting to play the role again. A year later, Bryan Cranston spoke again about the reboot project and his desire to see it happen.

In 2019, during an interview for Malcolm France, Frankie Muniz confirmed that a script was in preparation and that this revival could be a movie. A few years later, the reboot still does not seem abandoned if we believe the recent statements of Frankie Muniz to Fox News.

The actor who played Malcolm confirmed again that he is interested in the idea: “I know Bryan Cranston is really into the idea and he’s kind of heading writing the script and getting everything rolling. So, there might be something. I would be down 100 percent.” He adds, “I would love to know what the family’s up to”. So would the fans. Especially since the series ended with the announcement of a new pregnancy for Lois.
