On December 10 and 11, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences organized the first edition of the Children’s & Family Emmy Awards.

For this first edition, Netflix programs were widely acclaimed and left with 15 awards. The series Heartstopper, renewed for two seasons in May 2022, is the big winner of the evening and gets 5 awards including Outstanding Young Teen Series, Outstanding Casting for a Live Action Program and best performance in a series for the interpretation of Kit Connor (Nick Nelson). Among the other Netflix programs to leave with at least one award, we can mention The Baby-Sitters Club, Sweet Tooth, Hilda and the Mountain King and Centaurworld.
