Even if Ash (Bruce Campbell) survived the Deadites, unfortunately it wasn’t the same with the audience. As you may have understood, Ash VS Evil Dead has been canceled. The show will conclude with the season 3 finale in April, 29, on Starz.
The main reason behind the show’s cancelling is the poor audience during the 3rd season. Every episode gather, on average, 175 000 viewers. This number was too low for Ash VS Evil Dead to have a new season. Starz still wanted to pay a tribute to the show and the team in Carmi Zlotnik‘s speach : “Ash VS Evil Dead brought the viewers on an epic adventure during 3 seasons thanks to the amazing performances and the creative effort of Sam, Bruce, Rob and all the other actors and crew. We are proud to end the show with and bang… And a splat”.
Bruce Campbell declared that Ash Williams “was the role of a lifetime” and thanked “Starz, Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and our relentless fans for letting us revisit the franchise that started our career”.
