While the filming of Noah Hawley‘s Alien series will resume in early 2024, a number of actors and actresses have joined the project in recent days. In fact, Sydney Chandler (Pistol), Alex Lawther (The End of the F***ing World), Samuel Blenkin (The Witcher), Essie Davis (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries), Kit Young (Shadow and Bone) and Adarsh Gourav (Hostel Daze) will be joined by eight new names in the FX series’ credits.

Among the new additions are Timothy Olyphant and David Rysdahl, who both worked with Noah Hawley on the FX anthology Fargo. According to Deadline, Timothy Olyphant will play Kirsh, an android who mentors Wendy (Sydney Chandler), a meta-human with the brain and consciousness of a child in an adult body. Details about the character played by David Rysdahl are not yet known.

The six other actors and actresses who will be joining the Alien franchise, according to Variety, are Lily Newmark (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Sex Education), Babou Ceesay (Into the Badlands, We Hunt Together), Jonathan Ajayi (The Drifters, Noughts and Crosses), Erana James (The Wilds, Golden Boy), Diêm Camille (Sommerdahl, Washington Black) and Adrian Edmondson (A Spy Among Friends, EastEnders). Their roles are being kept under wraps at the time of writing.

The Alien series, whose release date is not yet known, is a prequel to the film saga of the same name, and will take place on Earth at the end of the 21st century.
