This Saturday, July 23, 2022, one of the highlights of the San Diego Comic-Con is the DC and Warner Bros panel dedicated to their upcoming movie releases. And it is with Shazam! Fury of the Gods that the studio decided to start the panel by presenting a new trailer of the movie.
In this video, Shazam (Zachary Levi) goes through an existential crisis wondering if he deserves his powers and if he really brings something to the table when the world can already count on Batman, The Flash or Aquaman. But the rest of the trailer confirms that Humanity will need him, and his family, to face the daughters of Atlas.
As in the first opus, the film will mix action and a lot of humor. And the most discerning eyes will also notice that Annabelle, the killer doll, is also part of the film. A nice nod to David F. Sandberg, the director of Shazam! who also directed Annabelle: Creation.
Expected to hit theaters in December 2022, Shazam!
