According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jenna Ortega, who is currently starring in Scream 6, is in talks to join the cast of Beeteljuice 2. She could play the daughter of Lydia, the character played by Winona Ryder in the original movie. The latter is also attached to the project, according to Deadline.
The Hollywood Reporter adds that Tim Burton should be back behind the camera to direct the sequel to one of his first feature films. In addition to Winona Ryder, the director should be able to count on another of his original actors: Michael Keaton. After reprising his role as Batman for the needs of the movie The Flash, the American actor should once again embody one of his iconic roles: Beetlejuice.
Beetlejuice 2 could begin shooting in London between May and June, but the movie’s budget must first be validated.
