One of the most common questions to be asked where movies are concerned is whether or not you’re a fan of the Marvel films. And a lot of people are, and rightly so. However, if you’re new to Marvel, watching some of the movies mentioned below is a way to fast-track becoming a fan.

Black Panther

Black Panther, released in 2018, is right up there as one of the best Marvel movies of all time. It’s highly successful, and because the trend is spreading like wildfire, with TV spinoffs being produced as well as Marvel-themed online bingo games on the increase, it won’t be long until Black Panther gets the same treatment as a result of its popularity.

After the death of King T’Challa, Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, and Dora Milaje do their best to guard their nation while the Wakandans are ready to embrace what’s next. It’s time for people to come together and begin a new chapter.

Avengers: Endgame

There have been many Avengers movies, and it may be best to watch the others before Endgame, but this is certainly a film that will instantly transform you into a fan of Marvel. Avengers: Endgame hit the box office in 2019, and it grossed over two billion dollars, which tells you everything you need to know.

The universe has been decimated following Thanos’ actions in Avengers: Infinity, and it’s up to the Avengers to come together to try and bring about some balance once again. But, of course, things are never straightforward, and this is the Endgame, so it really is a case of now or never.

Iron Man

2008 release Iron Man is one of those Marvel films that hit screens and changed the Marvel movie landscape forever. Up until this point, we’d not seen Iron Man star in his own film, and this movie spawned several others, which have all been incredibly well-received.

Tony Stark, who the legendary Robert Downey Jr plays, takes on the role of an inventor, but because of his knowledge and experience with weapons, he’s kidnapped by terrorists who want him to work for them. So, putting his skills to work, Stark builds an armoured suit and becomes Iron Man, defeating his captors and then becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Thor: Ragnarok

Thor is another huge character from the Marvel universe, and he’s renowned for coming equipped with his hammer, which is called Mjolnir. But, things don’t exactly go to plan in Thor: Ragnarok, released in 2017, because Thor is without his iconic hammer.

Thor finds himself in trouble in Thor: Ragnarok when he’s locked away on the opposite side of the universe. And, to make matters worse, he’s then pitted against Hulk, who he used to be fighting alongside as part of the Avengers. Thor must do what it takes to survive because his homeland and the whole Asgardian civilisation are at risk because Hela is on the rampage and on a path of destruction.

Above are undoubtedly some of the best, if not the best, Marvel films out there right now. And while some will argue that this movie is better than that one, these stand out from the crowd and watching them will certainly give those new to the scene a bit of insight into how good Marvel films and everything that surrounds them is. After watching them, it should whet the appetite to go back to the beginning and watch all the movies in order, and then you’ll be a hardened Marvel superfan and up to speed with all the storylines and characters.
