Marvel fans will have to be patient before they can watch the next adventures of Thor, Doctor Strange or Ant-Man. Indeed, Disney has just announced the postponement of several of its productions. By domino effect, the release of Indiana Jones 5 will be postponed by almost a year.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, directed by Sam Raimi, will be delayed from March 25, 2022 to May 6, 2022. Thor: Love and Thunder, originally scheduled for May, has been pushed back to July 8, 2022, while the Black Panther sequel will now arrive in movie theaters on November 11, 2022.
The Marvels, the second installment of Captain Marvel’s adventures, will be released on February 17, 2023 while Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has been pushed back to summer 2023 (July 28). Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is, for its part, maintained to May 5, 2023.
As a result of these many changes in Disney’s schedule, the studio has decided to push back the release date of Indiana Jones 5 from July 29, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
