Born from the initiative of Shibuya Productions, the Magic convention has become an internationally renowned pop culture event in only a few years. Every year, prestigious guests are invited to sign autographs and there are all kinds of activities to entertain the visitors.

Contests and meetings

The audience will be able to attend a Cosplay competition on-site, with the participation of great performers who will allow us to have a close encounter with the heroes of our childhood based on the world of manga. As for budding authors, they will be able to demonstrate the full extent of their talent through the “Magic International Manga Contest”. This one of a kind contest gives the winner the opportunity to see his/her manga published online on the Shônen Jump website alongside legendary works such as Dragon Ball, One Piece or Naruto and spend a month in Japan where he/she will have the opportunity to meet a publisher and rub shoulders with some of the world’s greatest Mangaka.

This year’s Magic Monaco, which is totally free and limited to 3,000 people, will host, among others: Yōichi TAKAHASHI, famous for Captain Tsubasa; Dave Gibbons, who created the drawings for the Doctor Who and Watchmen series; Tadatoshi Fujimaki, creator of Kuroko no Basket and Reika, a professional Japanese cosplayer.
