Netflix will soon go back to Alfea. Indeed, the streaming giant has confirmed the renewal for a second season of the series Fate: The Winx Saga. Shooting should begin this year in Ireland.

The series, a free adaptation of the cartoon of the 2000s, quickly won over Netflix subscribers and quickly ranked among the top 10 most watched programs after its launch at the end of January. It continues to be well received in many countries one month after its release. Netflix’s decision is therefore not too surprising and will provide many answers to the questions left unanswered at the end of the first season.

Season 2 of Fate: The Winx Saga will have 8 episodes compared to 6 for the first season. Enough to deepen a little more the story of the fairies as confirmed by Brian Young, showrunner and executive producer of the series : “The six episodes in season one only scratched the surface of this incredibly rich world and the powerful fairies who inhabit it. As Bloom’s story continues to evolve, I can’t wait for you to learn even more about Aisha, Stella, Terra, and Musa! And you never know who might show up at Alfea next term”. This last sentence lets us hope that Flora, Terra’s cousin, and Tecna will come.

In the casting of Fate: The Winx Saga, we find Abigail Cowen (Bloom), Hannah van der Westhuysen (Stella), Precious Mustapha (Aisha), Eliot Salt (Terra), Elisha Applebaum (Musa), Danny Griffin (Sky), Sadie Soverall (Beatrix), Freddie Thorp (Riven) or Theo Graham (Dane).
