While fans of Fate: The Winx Saga were hoping for the series to be renewed for a third season, Netflix decided otherwise.

Indeed, despite the fact that season 2 was in the Netflix top 10 for five weeks, the numbers didn’t convince the platform enough to give the green light for a new season.

On Instagram, Brian Young, the showrunner of Fate: The Winx Saga, confirmed that this cancellation was not the news expected by the team of the series: “So this is not fun news to share, but Netflix have decided not to move forward with Season Three of Fate: The Winx Saga.”

He adds: “This is especially tough because I know how many of you loved this season. It’s a heartbreaking silver lining, but a silver lining all the same. I’m so proud of everyone who worked on the show, and so happy we got to telle the stories we did. Our cast and crew put in a ton of hard work creating this world and these characters. I’m grateful for each and every one of them, and for all of you for watching. It’s been an amazing four years. Hopefully, we’ll see each other again in the future!”

The series Fate: The Winx Saga followed the adventures of five fairies attending the magical school ‘Alféa’ and facing terrible threats.

The cast included Hannah van der Westhuysen (Stella), Precious Mustapha (Aisha), Eliot Salt (Terra), Elisha Applebaum (Musa), Paulina Chávez (Flora), Brandon Grace (Grey), Éanna Hardwicke (Sebastian), Jayden Revri (Devin), Danny Griffin (Sky), Jacob Dudman (Sam), Robert James-Collier (Saul Silva), Sadie Soverall (Beatrix), Freddie Thorp (Riven) or Theo Graham (Dane). A cast that you can meet in France in 2023 for the convention Across The Other World 2.
