A few days before its arrival on Netflix, the streaming giant has revealed the official trailer of the Fate: The Winx Saga series. Brian Young‘s creation, inspired by Winx Club, a successful Italian animated series from the early 2000s by Iginio Straffi, breaks away from the very colorful universe of the original version to offer a darker rereading. A choice that seems to have been validated by Iginio Straffi, who is credited as co-creator of the Netflix version.
The series will take us to Alféa, a magical boarding school located in the other world where we will follow the adventures of five fairies who learn to master their powers and discover love, rivalries and monsters that threaten their existence.
In the casting of Fate: The Winx Saga, we find Abigail Cowen (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Danny Griffin (Get Even), Hannah van der Westhuysen (The Fugitives), Elisha Applebaum, Freddie Thorp (Safe), Precious Mustapha (Code 404), Eliot Salt (Normal People), Sadie Soverall, Theo Graham (Hollyoaks), David Duggan (Dead Still), Jacob Dudman (The A List) or Eve Best (Nurse Jackie).
The first season will consist of 6 episodes and will be available from January 22, 2021 on Netflix.
