Before he joined the Professor’s squad, Andrés de Fonollosa Gonzalves (Pedro Alonso), aka Berlin, was already a first-rate thief, and Netflix is looking to prove it with its new Money Heist spinoff.
The Berlin series, which is expected to hit the streaming platform in December 2023, will follow the eponymous character as he attempts to steal 44 million euros in one afternoon. To accomplish his mission, he will be aided by Roi (Julio Peña), his right-hand man; Damian (Tristán Ulloa), a longtime friend and confidant; Keila (Michelle Jenner), an electronics expert; Cameron (Begoña Vargas), a woman of power; and Bruce (Joel Sanchez), the group’s airhead.
The eight-episode series, written by Esther Martinez Lobato and Alex Pina, will also see the return of two characters familiar to Money Heist fans: Raquel Murillo (Itziar Ituño) and Alicia Serra (Najwa Nimri).
