Berlin (Pedro Alonso) will reunite with familiar faces in the Money Heist spin-off dedicated to him.

Officially announced many months ago, the series Berlin, spin-off of Money Heist, is gradually being unveiled over the weeks. After announcing that the series will be available on its streaming platform in December 2023, Netflix has just revealed on its social networks that two actresses from the original series will take part in this new adventure.

If the announcement was made with a photo on Twitter, it is in a video that the identity of the two actresses was revealed on Instagram. We see that Itziar Ituño, who played Raquel Murillo, is in the middle of reading the script of Berlin, while Najwa Nimri, the actress who played Alicia Sierra, says that they will both be in this new project of Alex Pina.

What is the Berlin series about?

Set well before the events of Money Heist, Berlin will follow Andrés de Fonollosa Gonzalves (Pedro Alonso), aka Berlin, as he prepares a heist in Paris to steal a ruby.

To help him pull off the heist, he can count on Roi (Julio Peña), his right-hand man; Damian (Tristán Ulloa), a longtime friend and confidant; Keila (Michelle Jenner), an electronics expert; Cameron (Begoña Vargas), a woman of power; and Bruce (Joel Sanchez), the group’s goofball.

The return of Najwa Nimri and Itziar Ituño as Alicia and Raquel could suggest that the two women will be the ones to prevent the group from leaving with the famous ruby. As a reminder, before the developments that we know in Money Heist, Raquel Murillo and Alicia Sierra were both members of the Spanish police. An assumption that can only be confirmed in December 2023 on Netflix.
