At least that’s what Pedro Alonso, the actor who plays Andrés de Fonollosa known as Berlin in Money Heist, would like to see. Guest at the convention The Hold Up Gang of the organizer Ultim Events in early January in Paris, Pedro Alonso mentioned the spin off dedicated to his character.
Let’s go back in time. In Money Heist, Berlin is this “egocentric narcissist who has delusions of grandeur” and who dies in part 2 of the first season, during the robbery of the Royal Mint of Spain. He will appear in the rest of the series only in the form of flashbacks.
Without knowing what the writers plan for his character (the spin-off, announced for 2023, is being written), Pedro Alonso talked about what he would love to see for Berlin during a panel at the convention in Paris: “when I think about the spin-off, I would like to be alive in the future. After all that happened in the series, Berlin alive could be great. But I don’t know if it’s possible. They are writing right now and I don’t know what they are writing.”
