[Interview] Grey Damon (Station 19): “The love for this show is intensely passionate”

At the end of May and the beginning of June you will do your first Station 19 conventions, what motivated you to accept the invitations of the organizers?

Mainly, I thought meeting the folks who give such copious support to 19 would be a rewarding experience. The love for this show is intensely passionate and it deserves attention to dig deeper as to why, if anything, to help bring more of what they love to the show if possible.

Danielle Savre and Stefania Spampinato have already done events in Italy and France, did you ask them for advice before accepting the invitation?

Well, if you’re going to ask anyone for advice on damn near anything, those two would be the ones to reach out to. However, I often just try and see what happens with an open mind.

You are doing two conventions in Europe. From what you see on your social networks, does the passion around the series seem to be the same in the United States and in Europe?

Couldn’t say, however, it does seem to be outside the US where there seems to be the most social media response.

Will this be your first visit to Italy and France? Are you planning to do some sightseeing?

I’ve been to both. Paris needed more time that I didn’t get the last time and Milan, I’m excited to explore, as that wasn’t a place I had seen in Italy during my last visit.

Do you have a message for your fans who have already bought tickets to meet you and a message to those who haven’t purchased tickets and should come to see you?

Hmm… Don’t forget to stay hydrated! I hope you can make it out so I’m lucky enough to make your acquaintance.

Do you have a special request for them? Chocolate, baguette, cheese…

During both conventions you will participate in panels where your fans can ask you questions. What question(s) would you like to be asked?

Hmm… Maybe… What are my thoughts on Pangea? Should Jack have his own spinoff in space?

If you were to attend a convention as a fan, which TV show/movie would it be for? Or to meet which actor(s)?

The Boys! And all of them.

To talk a little bit about Station 19, how did you experience the 6th season and especially the last episode?

With an open mind and plenty of surprises.

Is it mentally difficult to play for several years a character to whom so much happens?

It can be, depending on the much happenings but also some of it comes easier now.

Did the writers tell you what would happen to Jack in the future?

Not really, no. Somewhat of a guideline, but that changes so much I don’t get married to it.

If Jack survives, what would you like to see for your character in season 7?

I’d like to see him explore the foster systems and maybe try to correct some of its corruptness.
