Phoebe Waller-Bridge remains in the Disney team. After playing the droid L3-37 in Solo: A Star Wars Story, the Fleabag star has been chosen to play with Harrison Ford in the fifth movie of the adventures of Indiana Jones. Her role has not yet been revealed. It was also announced that John Williams would be back to create the music of the movie.
This information was confirmed by the Disney company through a tweet (see below) and a press release. In the latter, James Mangold, director of the movie, says: “I’m thrilled to be starting a new adventure, collaborating with a dream team of all-time great filmmakers. Steven (Spielberg), Harrison (Ford), Kathy (Kennedy), Frank (Marshall), and John (Williams) are all artistic heroes of mine. When you add Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliant creative voice and the chemistry she will undoubtedly bring to our set, I can’t help but feel as lucky as Indiana Jones himself.”
The shooting of Indiana Jones 5 should begin this summer for a release in movie theaters on July 29, 2022.
