As with every end of the year, streaming platforms and TV channels will be filled with new Christmas movies. Netflix is no exception and will offer Christmas with You from November 17, 2022.
Starring Aimee Garcia (Lucifer) and Freddie Prince Jr. (I Know What You Did Last Summer), this movie directed by Gabriela Tagliavini has just been revealed through a first trailer (see below).
As for the story, Christmas movie fans shouldn’t be too surprised. In Christmas with You, we follow Angelina (Aimee Garcia), a pop star in the midst of burnout, who decides to travel to a small town to fulfill a young fan’s dream. There she not only finds the inspiration to revive her career, but also a chance to find true love.
A role far from the one of Ella in Lucifer
At the Straight Outta Hell convention last September, Aimee Garcia talked about her experience on the movie Christmas with You.
The actress said that the character of Angelina could be compared to Shakira or Britney Spears. A character quite different from Ella that she played for 5 years in Lucifer. Aimee Garcia wondered if the fans of Lucifer would find something close to Ella in Angelina.
During her panels, the actress also confessed that this experience would perhaps allow her to realize one of her dreams. As a big fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Aimee Garcia would like to meet Sarah Michelle Gellar. A wish which could undoubtedly be realized thanks to her costar in the movie: Freddie Prinze Jr. Indeed, he is the husband of the actress who played Buffy.
