Expected on January 14, 2022 in movie theaters, the 5th opus of Scream has been revealed through a trailer that allows us to see the new cast and the emblematic actors of the saga.
25 years after the murders that hit the town of Woodsboro, Ghostface is back and targets teenagers and young adults. But this time it’s different, says Dewey Riley, still played by David Arquette, who also reminds us that to survive, you have to follow a few rules. To try to escape from Ghostface, the teenagers will be able to count on the precious help of Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), two survivors of the previous attacks and essential characters of the Scream saga.
New faces include Melissa Barrera (In the Heights), Kyle Gallner (Veronica Mars), Mason Gooding (Love Victor), Mikey Madison (Better Things), Dylan Minnette (13 Reasons Why), Jenna Ortega (You), Jack Quaid (The Boys), Jasmin Savoy Brown (For the People) and Sonia Ammar.
The direction of Scream has been given to Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the duo behind Wedding Nightmare, Wes Craven, the iconic director of the saga having died in 2015. Kevin Williamson, screenwriter of the franchise, leaves his place and will participate simply as executive producer.
