Officially announced last February by HBO Max, the series Welcome to Derry, which will be a prequel to the It movies, reveals the first names that will compose its cast.

According to Variety, Taylour Paige (The Baxters, Hit the Floor), Jovan Adepo (Babylon, Sorry for Your Loss), Chris Chalk (Perry Mason, Gotham) and James Remar (Black Lightning, The Path) are all attached to the project, which is being developed for the small screen by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs.

At this time, no details have been released about their roles in this series that will expand the universe of the famous killer clown imagined by Stephen King.

A new face for Pennywise?

Pennywise, played brilliantly by Bill Skarsgård in two feature films released in 2017 and 2019, may have a new face in the Welcome to Derry series.

During an interview for Jake’s Takes, Bill Skarsgård said that he is not attached to the series, “As of now, I’m not currently involved with it. If someone else gets to do it, my advice would be: Do it your own. Make it your own. Have fun with it. What I found pleasurable about that character is how abstract he was.”

Who would you like to see play the famous Killer Clown if Bill Skarsgård doesn’t reprise his role? Tell us in the comments.
