Tracker fans are in for a treat: the CBS series has just been renewed for a second season, even though Season 1 has not yet ended. In fact, Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) will be back for another season packed with new storylines. Season 1 launched just after the Super Bowl in the U.S. and was an instant hit, with the first episode viewed more than 30 million times, according to Paramount Global.

The Tracker series, created by Hilary Weisman Graham and Ben Winters, is based on the novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver. It follows the story of Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley), an investigator who travels the country to find missing persons or solve criminal cases, helping both the police and private citizens. The cast also includes Robin Weigert (Big Little Lies), Abby McEnany (And Just Like That…), Eric Graise (Locke & Key) and Fiona Rene (Fire Country).

Following the renewal, Justin Hartley, also known for his roles as Kevin Pearson on the hit series This is Us and Oliver Queen on Smallville, posted a thank-you on Instagram.
