Only a few days after its launch on Amazon Prime Video, the Reacher series has been given the green light by the streaming platform for a second season.
According to information from Amazon, the adaptation of Lee Child‘s novels ranked in the top 5 most-watched series in the U.S. and worldwide over a 24-hour period. It would also be among the platform’s highest-rated original series. Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, says, “The global impact of Reacher makes it one of Prime Video’s biggest series debuts, and we can’t wait to bring fans a second season of their new favorite show.”
The 8-episode first season of Reacher follows Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson), a former military police investigator accused of murder in the small town of Margrave, Georgia. As he struggles to prove his innocence, he appears to face a dark conspiracy.
In the cast, we find Malcolm Goodwin, Willa Fitzgerald, Chris Webster, Hugh Thompson, Bruce McGill and Leslie Fray.
