The Flash, already renewed for a season 8, will have to do without two of its historical actors. As learned on Deadline, Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon) and Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash) are about to leave the series at the end of season 7.

Following the announcement, Eric Wallace, executive producer/showrunner of The Flash, told Deadline: “Tom and Carlos have been an integral part of our show for seven seasons, and will be greatly missed. Both are incredible talents who created beloved characters that fans and audiences around the world have come to love.”
Nevertheless, the door remains open for a possible return of the actors and their characters as Eric Wallace said: “We are happily keeping the door open for return appearances”.
If these exits will make fans of The Flash sad, you should know that Grant Gustin has already signed on to return next season. Candice Patton and Danielle Panabaker are said to be about to do the same.
