The American network, The CW, is faithful to its habits and has decided to massively renew the series composing its schedule. The small news comes from the fact that this decision comes at a time when the new schedule was launched only at the beginning of January.

This strategic choice is aimed at getting ahead of the 2021-2022 season, as The CW President Mark Pedowitz said, “[it] allows our production teams to start laying out story arcs and hiring staff, and at the same time, continues to provide us with a strong, stable schedule to build on for next season”.

Twelve series were renewed by the channel: All American (season 4), Batwoman (season 3), Charmed (season 4), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (season 7), Dynasty (season 5), In the Dark (season 4), Legacies (season 4), Nancy Drew (season 3), Riverdale (season 6), Roswell, New Mexico (season 4), The Flash (season 8) and Walker (season 2). The renewal of Walker, a reboot of the cult TV series of the 1990s, comes as no surprise, as its the most-watched series premiere in five years on the U.S. network.

For the moment, the series Superman & Lois, Kung Fu, Republic of Sarah and Stargirl are not included in the renewal order. They will start airing soon on the channel.
