A historical member of Chicago PD will leave the series during season 10 which will start airing on September 21 on NBC. As revealed by Variety, fans of the series will have to say goodbye to the character of Jay Halstead played by Jesse Lee Soffer.
Present in the cast of Chicago PD since its launch in 2014, Jesse Lee Soffer wanted to thank “the incredible fans” of the series “for their unwavering support during the past 10 years”. He had actually been able to meet some of them at the Don’t Mess With Chicago events hosted by Empire Conventions.
Jesse Lee Soffer also expressed his gratitude to his colleagues, the technical team of the series and Dick Wolf, the creator of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago PD. The actor who plays Jay Halstead ended his statement by saying that he will always be proud to have played the character.
According to Variety, the exit of Jesse Lee Soffer from Chicago PD will take place during the fall.
